Öko-Test magazine: bibi soothers are ‘very good’.

bibi soothers were tested and awarded ‘very good’ by the renowned German consumer magazine Öko-Test in January 2009. A total of 28 soothers, 13 made of latex and 15 made of silicone, were analysed for potentially harmful substances. The silicone soothers were also subject to an additional, practical test to examine how easy it was for children’s teeth to chew them. All the bibi silicone and latex soothers scored the highest marks in all the tests, gaining the top award: very good.

EN Standard 1400

The safety of soothers in the European Union is regulated by EN Standard 1400. This standard contains basic safety measures relating to the stability and the health clearance of the material used to make soothers. The soothers may not release any harmful chemicals, and must be shaped in such a way that they cannot be swallowed. bibi soothers have been conforming to these standards for many years.
